Context and vision

Two modular conference rooms in Shawinigan, which can be used separately or combined. The problem: several previous interventions had failed to achieve stable operation. Complete overhaul of the installation.

The objective: restore a reliable overall logic, capable of supporting modularity without complicating use. No systematic replacement, but an analysis of the existing setup to identify inconsistencies and rebuild a functional and readable architecture.

Integrated solutions

The intervention was designed as a coherent reorganization of systems, adapted to the different modes of space occupation. Audio and video solutions were realigned to offer a consistent experience, whether the rooms are used separately or in combined configuration, without disruption or complex adjustment for users.

Signal paths were simplified to ensure better stability and a clear understanding of overall operation. The networking was streamlined to effectively support the different possible configurations, while facilitating maintenance and future system evolution. Control was redesigned to allow fluid and intuitive selection of usage modes, enabling immediate adoption by users, regardless of the chosen configuration.

Challenges and coordination

The main challenge of the project lay in understanding a fragmented system, modified multiple times without an overall vision, in the context of modular rooms where the slightest inconsistency impacted all uses. It was necessary to analyze the existing setup, clarify operational logic, and eliminate redundancies to restore a clear and coherent structure to the system.

Coordination with internal teams allowed for targeted and progressive intervention, respecting the constraints of an active institutional environment and minimizing service interruptions.

Expected outcome

A reliable, flexible, and simple environment. Users transition from one configuration to another seamlessly. Technology fades into the background to prioritize usability.
