Project Manager

Role

The incumbent has the primary responsibility of coordinating and pivoting several client projects at once, specializing in integration technology and A.V. (home automation).

RESPONSIBILITIES (80%)

Work in collaboration with other team members to achieve the company’s objectives and deliver its mission according to its values.

Plan schedules, resources, and the necessary materials to successfully complete projects.

Establish the list of materials to be used and purchased.

Ensure that various project stakeholders work in partnership.

Manage the budget for each project, taking into account unforeseen issues, technological challenges, and monitoring the cash flow of each client account.

Contribute to maintaining profitability ratios set for each project by reporting any shortcomings, anomalies, or various risks either in meeting deadlines or due to other internal or external challenges.

Ensure the quality of work by having effective communication with the Service Manager via phone, email, and site visits.

Communicate with the client, the project seller, and various stakeholders to ensure project completion.

Adhere to the company’s standards and policies in all processes.

Document any additional work when applicable and obtain prior approvals.

RELATED TASKS (20%)

Complete reports and use tracking software (deposits, ordering materials, and billing). Follow up as necessary with the administration department.

Meet with clients with or without a sales department representative for any technical and/or logistical input.

Assist the estimation and design department during peak periods by producing estimates and proposals following requests from the sales department.

Support the technical director when necessary for product or technology research, either to meet a specific client need or simply to find an alternative or improve a process.

Participate in the “sign off” of each project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Project management training / Project management certificate / D.E.C. in operations management or equivalent experience.

At least 2 years of experience in similar roles in a related field.

3 years of experience as a Technician-Installer in the same or very similar field.

Excellent computer and technological skills.

Bilingualism (quality of French: spoken and written, functional English)
